Scholarship Award Date: August 14th 2025
Eligibility Criteria:
Residency:
Must be a resident of Illinois
Enrollment:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college, university, or trade school for the Fall 2025 semester
Academic Performance:
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) at the time of application. Most recent transcript required.
Leadership:
Evidence of leadership qualities, such as holding a leadership position in school, community organizations, or extracurricular activities.
Recommendation Letters:
Two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or community leaders who can speak to the applicant's character, academic commitment, and community involvement.
Essay Requirement:
A 500-word personal essay responding to the following prompt: “How has your educational journey prepared you to make a positive impact on your community? Describe how you plan to use your education to help others succeed.”

Send your application materials, including your essay, letters of recommendation, most recent transcript and headshot to Apply@Run2Success.org
Additional Notes:
Winners must show proof of enrollment before funds are disbursed.
Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the recipient to be used for tuition, books, or other educational expenses.
Photos submitted by winners will be posted on the Run2Success website and social media.

Eligibility Criteria:
Residency:
Must be a resident of Illinois
Enrollment:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college, university, or trade school for the Fall 2025 semester
Academic Performance:
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) at the time of application. Most recent transcript required.
Community Service Commitment:
Demonstrated commitment to community service in the past year. (Examples: involvement in local nonprofits, school-based volunteer programs, or community outreach projects.)
Applicants must provide a list of community engagement activities, including:
Name of organizations
Number of volunteer hours
Contact information for verification
Leadership and Impact:
Evidence of leadership or impactful involvement in a community service project, organization, or event. Preference will be given to applicants who have taken on leadership roles or shown initiative in their service work
Recommendation Letters:
Two letters of recommendation from community leaders, teachers, or mentors who can speak to the applicant’s dedication to community service and character
Essay Requirement:
A 500-word personal essay responding to the following prompt: “Describe a meaningful community service experience you’ve had and how it has influenced your goals. How do you plan to continue contributing to your community in the future?”
